Neurodiverse Storytelling Circles

Our recent Neurodiverse Storytelling Circles workshop at Central Saint Martins was a vibrant celebration of creativity and personal expression. Led by Lotje, this engaging session provided a safe and inclusive space for participants to share their unique experiences as neurodiverse individuals. The storytelling format allowed each person to explore the challenges and magic of neurodiversity, fostering deeper communication and confidence in a supportive environment.

What made this workshop truly special was the freedom participants had in choosing their medium of expression. From photography and collage to drawing, oral history, and writing, each person brought their story to life in a way that resonated with them. This diversity of expression not only highlighted the richness of neurodiverse experiences but also allowed for deeper creative engagement.

As part of the Brave New Brain project, this session will directly contribute to the development of our upcoming exhibition at the House of Annetta in May 2025. The works produced during the workshop—whether visual, written, or spoken—will be key elements of this collaborative showcase. The exhibition aims to shine a light on the neurodiverse community and celebrate the creativity that emerges from embracing differences.
